Release date: 14/10/2010

Survi Review: 7/10

Brindavanam is one of the most awaited Telegu movie of the year. The movie stars Junior NTR, Kajal Agarwal and Samantha as the lead roles. Popular actors like Prakash raj, Srihari and Srinavasa Rao also plays important roles in the movie.

Story:
Krishna, aka. Krish (Jr. NTR) and Indu (Samantha) are lovers. Bhoomi (Kajal)  is Indu’s friend. Bhoomi’s father (Prakash Raj) arranges her marriage with his nephew (Ajay) who is an ill-natured person. To avoid the marriage Bhoomi lies to her father that she has a boy friend. She seeks the help of Indu. Then Indu requests Krisha to act as her boy friend. Krish agrees and goes to Indu’s village. But there he comes to know that Indu’s family is a dismantled one. He wins the heart of everyone in the family, unites the family and brings in happiness in the family. The entire family starts liking Krish including Bhoomi. They start preparations for Krish-Bhoomi’s marriage. At this moment, enters Indu. She is none other than Bhoomi’s cousin. Now will Krish and Bhoomi get married to each other? Who will sacrifice Krish– Indu or Bhoomi? Is remaining part Of the Story..
Performance:

NTR Jr. is all shiny stardom and electricity, and lends weight to the comedy. Kajal Agarwal is with full of elegance. She was beautifully showcased in the songs.Samantha once again looted the hearts and senses with her stunning beauty. Eventhough the basic story is by the director Vamsi Paidipalli, the Dialogues by Koratala Siva are good and dotted with comedy and punch filled life in it. Vamsi Paidipalli came out with refreshing direction and themeful flick .Choreography of all songs is good to watch.Cinematography by Chota K Naidu is apt Perfect.Prakashraj,Srihari, mukesh,Bhrami, venu Madhav..Entire casting selected for the movie was well utilized and this may be the best in recent times.Music by Thaman is soothing and full of melody and rhythmic.

Overall:

The comedy, though not intellectually superior to the best you may have seen, is well-executed. Romance doesn’t play much of a role in the plot, since the theme is the nitty-gritties of how Krish maneuvers his way into a hostile family. It’s the regular hero-playing-God kind of movie, with Krish making sweeping changes in people, uniting entire warring villages, and teaching hateful clans how to love.Brindavanam is a fun film overall.

Raktha Charitra faces censor trouble

Seems like the censor board has decided to up its ante when it comes to derogatory remarks and violence in movies. The latest is that the much talked about two part film by Ram Gopal Varma starring Vivek Oberoi, Rakth Charitra, has run into problems courtesy its posters.
The reason for this is the posters of his upcoming film which have encountered the censor board’s ire as they mention a quote from the Mahabharata.
The censor board has objected to a ‘quote’ used from the epic, which runs as ‘Revenge is the purest emotion’ – Mahabharata. It is said that the censor board in Hyderabad objected to this and asked the producers of the film, Cinergy and Ram Gopal Varma, to remove this supposed reference to the Mahabharata.
Though the censor board has requested the removal of this quote, it is interesting to know that all the poster designs have already been made and distributed. Now, if the producers decided to change each one of them it will surely add to their cost.
